„I think I'm a composer.“, says his funky homepage. Born in 1986 when the Chernobyl was ruined, this emerging drum’n’kick-ass artist influenced by various jungle, d’n’b and chillout music debuts on our label with his groovy drum’n’bass long player. [Igraczech, Kaktus Rec.]
Bashway (real name Robert Varga) is composing electronic music since 2001. He started in Pardubice (CZ) as drum’n’bass composer with his first unofficial „Attention please” album, which came out in 2002. Under his first nick „Robin”, he made another 5 albums (2003 - Malstorm, 2003 - Through the new places with Spaceship AA-16, 2004 - Maximal Influence, 2005 - Open Out, 2005 - Ope, 2007 - Sentinel) containing also minimal, techno, techhouse, house, breakbeat and chillout pieces. As Robin, he competes others in CZ in many musical contests, as his favourite Demoline made by DJ AB, his old music idol. Demoline started and finished his „Robin” era, introduced him to public in Bassline/XMAG paper magazines and main CZ musical webs (Bassline.cz, Xmag.cz, Rave.cz, Techno.cz and others).
In 2007, he renamed himself to Bashway, moved to Prague (CZ), established his own home studio and finally chosen chilly drum’n’bass and jungle style, slightly influenced by breakcore. „Fear when fury” is his first officially released album. It has been digitally released by Kaktus Recordings in 2008.
